Thanks for the welcome Altec Best. I'll post some photos soon. They came with the 27a 1" throats and some trashed Atlas drivers. I haven't polished them yet and it's a lot of work (especially the insides) so unless I decide to keep them it probably won't happen. I got a quote on having them recast and it would be VERY expensive! Because of the curved insides you might as well cast them in gold and try to sell them to billionaires! ;^)

Your Welcome !!! You don't know until you try right ? One market I think you could do well with is throats for horns as they seem to be hard to find as well 30166,30210,30162,etc.And cast in brass.But would be pricey as well,I'm always interested in seeing some photos of others Altec gear.:2thumbsup:

Hmm, just dawned on me that these should have a 15" driver, not 12"........... I'm guessing they did this to get the extra HF BW ideally required at the expense of some LF 'fullness'.
